I’ve spent most of my life trying to get closer to the natural world.
Not just seeing it, but understanding it. Finding the people who know it best. Going to the places that still feel wild. And, whenever possible, getting a little further beyond the obvious.
That instinct is what led me to create Natural World Safaris 20 years ago.
What began with a fascination for primates has grown into a global team creating journeys into some of the most extraordinary wild places on the planet.
But the reason I do it hasn’t really changed. I’m still curious and I’m still looking for what’s around the next corner.
Today, Natural World Safaris works across the world, creating private journeys and specialist-led expeditions built around wildlife, wilderness, people and place.

THE NATURAL WORLD
From Africa to the ArCtic
Natural World Safaris now takes travellers across more than 40 countries, from the great wildernesses of Africa and the forests of Asia to the rivers and rainforests of Latin America and the vast landscapes of the polar regions.
What connects these places is not a particular style of safari, but the opportunity to experience wildlife in its natural environment, with people who know the places intimately. Whether that means tracking gorillas in Rwanda, searching for tigers in India, following jaguars through the Pantanal, looking for orangutans in Borneo, watching bears in Canada or travelling into the Arctic in search of whales, the destination is always chosen around the experience, and sometimes the most rewarding places are the ones you hadn’t thought of going to in the first place.

Twenty years changes the way you see a place.
Over the years, I’ve learned that the most rewarding journeys come from experience, knowing the places, the people and the moments that make a journey special.
That experience has also shown me how closely travel and conservation are connected. The communities and wildlife we travel to see depend on these places being protected, and I believe travel can play a meaningful part in that.
Twenty years on, I’m still as curious as I was when I started. There is always another landscape to explore, another species to understand and another story to uncover. That curiosity remains at the heart of Natural World Safaris.
