I have been in the creative arena of the entertainment advertising world for most of my career, starting in the dark room with Saul Bass to becoming Creative Director / VP at Michel/Russo Advertising, all before eventually forming my own design company, Nakedeye.
For the last five years, my focus has been directed on fine art fueled by living on the beach in Malibu, as the ocean is a great inspiration to me emotionally, spiritually, and creatively. In that time, I was accepted to exhibit four of my sculptures at The Malibu Lumber Yard Gallery’s Eco Art Exhibit. I have also exhibited my art at The Malibu Arts Festival, The Monterey Jazz/Arts Festival, and The West Hollywood Book/Arts Fair.
Although the work of my youth had been more traditional in style, my recent interests are more abstract. I am currently working on a new series of pieces that I am very excited about. Art is like navigating the universe with infrared eyes and an open mind. It is beyond comprehension, and that element of the unknown is what inspires me to create. Life is the great adventure and I am a curious explorer.
Even projects that bring awareness to seemingly small issues, like not polluting our storm drains, have major ramifications, not just to our community, but to the Earth and the future of all life as we know it.
“The more you reason, the less you create.”
– Raymond Chandler
